| Choosing your guest boook With so much going on during your special day, it is only normal that you will not have the ability to remember everyone who came to celebrate your big day. Having a guestbook will guarantee that you will capture the thoughts, and signatures, of the guests who attended your wedding and reception.
1. The traditional guestbook – The traditional guestbook is a beautifully crafted book that can be plain or personalized with your names and wedding date. Basically this book is placed at the entrance of the reception hall. The guests will sign the book upon entering or exiting the reception and they may choose to leave a message containing words of wisdom and special wishes that they want to share with you. 2. A photo guestbook – When purchasing this type of guestbook you may want to consider purchasing a few of them. The photo guestbook only holds 10-30 pictures, and when you have over 200 guests in attendance you will want to make sure that everyone has a space for their photo. It is a chance for them to leave you with a memorable picture. Many of the books have the option for placing Polaroid pictures in them, allowing for an instant chance to capture the great times at your wedding reception. 3. A signing plate – Instead of having a traditional guestbook, you may opt to have guests sign their names and well-wishes on a personalized plate. After everything is all said and done, and everyone has left their signature, you and your husband can take the plates to your new home and display them on a wall, mantle, or in a china cabinet. The signature plates will serve as a constant reminder of your wonderful wedding day. 4. A photo frame – You can take your engagement photo, place
it in a frame, and then let everyone sign their names and leave their
comments for you. It is a great and unique way to have a keepsake of
that very important day. You can then put the frame on display at your
home and have something that will remind you of your wedding day for
years to come. Be sure to use the specified pen or marker when having guests sign your guestbook. The ink in some pens may not last as long as others so be sure to know which pen would be the best for the type of guest signing you have chosen. This will be crucial to ensure that your comments, well-wishes, and signatures are preserved for the years to come. Whatever style you choose to capture your guest list it will surely remain a precious heirloom to you and your husband.
